BREAKING: Many people fearful of being killed, houses burnt as Plateau boils again

As the Plateau boils over once more, many people are fearful of being killed or having their homes burned down.

Unidentified gunmen attacked the Te’egbe community in Plateau State’s Bassa Local Government Area, killing an unknown number of residents.

According to reports, the attack took place on Friday morning, when assailants stormed the neighborhood with sophisticated weapons.

About ten bodies have been recovered, according to an eyewitness who spoke to our community correspondent, while scores more are still missing.

As of the time of writing this report, the incident’s details are still sketchy.

ASP Ubah Gabriel, however, confirmed the attack when contacted by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police is currently on the scene assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attack.

“We are aware of the incident,” he said. “The Commissioner of Police is on the scene right now, and details will be communicated to you shortly.” I’ll issue a press statement.”
