On Sunday, the Gombe State Police Command arrested accused killers of Aishatu Abdullahi, a mother of eight.
This comes less than 48 hours after unidentified armed men killed Abdullahi for not handing over her phone.
ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar verified the arrest Sunday on X (previously Twitter).

After 48 hours, police apprehend the suspected killers of 58-year-old Aishatu Abdullahi (Adda Damori). The post said details later.
After Saturday’s gruesome murder, state governor Muhammadu Yahaya ordered security forces to find the murderers and leave no stone untouched.
Yahaya also expressed the state’s and nation’s sympathies to the bereaved family, calling the death horrific.
“Let me be clear: those involved for this terrible and vicious act will face justice.
“Our security authorities must find the perpetrators and hold them accountable for their crimes.
Police preliminary reports of this incident are as terrible as a dark stain.
He stated his heart goes out to the grieving family, the Jekadafari community, and all citizens who are traumatized by this tragedy.
