Two boys are accused of breaking into a store in Osogbo and stealing food items as well as some cash, according to Amotekun Corps in Osun.
On Tuesday, retired Brig.-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, the commander of the Osun State Amotekun, informed reporters of this.
The boys, who are 13 and 11 years old, according to Adewinmbi, broke into a store in Asubiaro, Osogbo early on Saturday morning and stole cash, recharge cards, noodles, and drinks.

He claimed that the suspects were later detained after the shop owner reported the incident to Amotekun Osogbo Command, at around 6.24 p.m., in an unfinished building.
After our operatives received information about the pair’s whereabouts, they were apprehended at their hiding place.
The suspects admitted to carrying out the crime while being questioned, according to Adewinmbi. “The suspects were caught with some of the stolen items still in their possession.”
He claimed that the boys’ parents, who had come to request their release, had pleaded with the shop owner and agreed to pay for the loss of the items as well as any damages.
The suspects were later released to their parents, according to the Amotekun commander, after a deal was reached with the shop owner.

Following that, Adewinmbi gave parents advice to make an effort to raise their kids morally, keep an eye on their behavior, and always be curious about who their friends and companions are.
He advised parents to keep a close eye on their kids’ movements and make sure they are always aware of where they are.
