Make peace with Wike, Boyloaf urges Fubara Africa

Chief Ebikabowei Victor-Ben, popularly known as Boyloaf, was a former militant commander. He has urged Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to avoid panhandlers and work toward amity with Barr. Nyesom Wike, a former governor and minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

Boyloaf made the call in Yenagoa yesterday in response to the ongoing political dispute in Rivers State between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Governor Nyesom Wike.

He noted that even if certain people both inside and outside of Rivers State appeared to be supporting Governor Fubara, the governor of Rivers State should work toward peace and reconciliation with his predecessor for the benefit of both peace and the state’s growth.

Boyloaf said individuals stoking the fires of the Rivers problem are doing it for their own financial gain, adding that he was concerned about the prolonged resolution of the crisis. He forewarned those stoking the flames of the conflict that, should anything happen to Fubara’s term as Rivers State governor, they will be far away from him.

“Rivers State shouldn’t be experiencing this at this early stage. They ought to find peace, one way or another. Fubura ought to be guaranteeing Rivers State’s calm by now.

“The same followers will be the first to mistreat him, God forbid something should happen to his mandate. In order to ensure that reconciliation is reached as soon as possible, he should enlist the help of those leaders who value peace, he stated.

Rivers and the Niger Delta people are aware of the significance of former governor Nyesom Wike, as noted by Boyloaf, one of the main figures and co-founder of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) and a driving force behind the successful creation of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

“Wike persevered in the effort to secure Tinubu’s presidency in the south, even as other Niger Delta elders and leaders fought for another Fulani man to take the helm as president. “Wike fought for true federalism, justice, equity, and peace, not that he doesn’t like the Fulani man,” he continued.

Boyloaf further advised Fubura to learn from the calm and harmonious connection that existed between former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson and Governor Douye Diri, saying that “the peaceful and harmonious relationship between Dickson and Diri was due to patience, understanding, and loyalty.” Consider Senator Dickson and Governor Douye Diri.
