Majek was in New York for So Long and Too Long, as the Legend give the world a music genre that was classical Hybrid Naija Highlife that most mistook for Reggae.
He sure did come from Zion making us know Religion na Politics and why the oppressors MUST Free Mandela.
O my heart is heavy but I do NOT grieve as you’ve asked to Weep Not Children. On the African homeland you’re certainly in the class of Fela Kuti, Bongos Ikwe, Miriam Makeba, Youssou N’Dour, King Sunny Ade, Manu Dibango, Brenda Fasie, Ali Farka Toure and Salif Keita.
These Icons and Legends did paved the way for artiste across Africa, from D’Banj, Tuface, WizKid, Davido, Master KG, Teni, Casper Nyovest, K’naan, AKA, Diamond Platnumz to Fireboy, Fally Ipupa and many others.
As we say rest in perfect paradise, the artiste in me chose to only remember all the classic music you give us and NOT your personal struggles, for as humans we all struggle with one thing or the other.
