List of candidates for Delta Constituency By-Election has been released by INEC

The list of candidates for the Isoko South 1 State Constituency by-election in Delta State has been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Following the Speaker of the State House of Assembly’s declaration of vacancy, the commission released the timetable and schedule of activities for the by-election in the constituency on August 10, 2021.

Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, announced on Monday in Abuja that the election will take place on September 11, 2021.

“For the by-election, twelve political parties held primaries and nominated their candidates. As required by law, the personal information of one (1) female and eleven (11) male candidates has been published in the constituency.

“The list has also been made available to the public on the commission’s website and social media platforms.

While the commission assures all political parties of a level playing field, Okoye stated that the commission expects parties and candidates to conduct their electioneering campaign and election-day activities with civility and decorum in accordance with the law.
