‘Laughable Allegations’ – Soludo Fires Back at Ozigbo

The accusations brought against him by Valentine Ozigbo, a candidate for governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC), have been denied by Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State.
According to Ozigbo, Soludo was afraid that he would be the party’s nominee in the upcoming election on November 8, 2025.
If Soludo were asked to swear on a Bible, he said, it would be proof that the governor was supporting Nicholas Ukachukwu in an attempt to undermine the APC.

Nevertheless, Christian Aburime, Soludo’s principal press secretary, told The Cable that the accusation was a product of Ozigbo’s mind.

“That is laughable,” he continued. In Ozigbo’s mind, it is a fantasy. Ozigbo ought to confront Ukachukwu and stop involving Soludo in their issues. The governor is not associated with the APC; rather, he is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, or APGA. Delivering democracy’s benefits to the populace is his main goal. Leave him out of APC politics, Ozigbo.

Since the primary election, Ozigbo has sued the APC in the federal high court in Awka, the capital of Anambra state.

The lawsuit, which names Ukachukwu, the APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants, aims to force the party to acknowledge Ozigbo as the legitimate candidate and to void Ukachukwu’s nomination.
