President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed on his 70th birthday.
Mohammed, according to Buhari, was a dedicated public servant who made sacrifices for the country.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, the president stated that Mohammed has worked tirelessly to improve Nigeria’s image by overcoming information gaps.
“The President congratulates the minister on the milestone, which is marked by many years of dedicated service to the country as a lawyer and businessman before entering politics, where he served as Chief of Staff in Lagos State and National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress,” the statement reads (APC).
“As a party stalwart, President Buhari recognizes the minister’s sacrifices and contributions in building a formidable information machine that helped bring about change in the country.

“The President believes Mohammed works tirelessly to build understanding and improve the country’s image by overcoming knowledge gaps, praising his resourcefulness, perseverance, and emotional intelligence.”
Friends, members of the Federal Executive Council, APC, and the media industry joined Buhari in wishing the Minister of Information good health, strength, and a longer life.
