The Lagos State Government has responded to a video showing kegs of gasoline being given away as souvenirs at a Lagos event center. On social media, the video has gone viral. “Erelu Okin chietaincy installation ceremony” is written on each keg.
There is no doubt that this action is dangerous and can result in the loss of lives and property, according to a statement signed by Gbenga Omotoso, Commissioner for Information and Strategy. It goes against all safety precautions in such places.

As he stated, the Lagos State Government is investigating this matter through the Safety Commission and will ensure that all parties involved in this heinous act are held accountable.
“The safety of Lagosians and visitors remains a top priority for the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration,” he added. As a result, we advise that actions that could result in the loss of lives or property be avoided.”
