The Lagos State Ministry of Atmosphere and Water Assets has stated a number of constructions and dredging have been embarked upon in direction of bringing a couple of everlasting resolution to the problem of flooding.
In response to a press release signed by the Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of the Atmosphere and Water Sources, Kunle Adeshina, the ministry had already commenced the development and concrete lining of the 9-kilometre Akinola/Aboru drainage channel.

“The Freedom Means Channel, Lekki that takes away flood from the Lekki-Epe Expressway, a part of Itedo and a part of Admiralty manner straight into the Lagos Lagoon.”
Adeshina added that the identical utilized to the Orchid Street Collector drains off Lekki-Epe Expressway in Eti-Osa, to de-flood Orchid Highway and the quite a few estates inside the neighbourhood in Lekki.
