Lagos Safety commission takes action against imposters

A number of dishonest consultants and imposters of commission employees, according to Lagos Safety Commission Director-General Lanre Mojola, have been put in check.

Therefore, Mojola urged the public to report the activities of any dishonest official and consultant they may know. He also revealed that legal actions were already being taken against those who had been apprehended.

She also issued a warning to the populace to refrain from depositing money into any accounts other than the designated government bank accounts.

Adewunmi Okoh, who signed the statement on behalf of the commission, said this.

The following was excerpted from the statement: “The Director-General lamented the activities of dishonest members of the public engaging in illegal activities on behalf of Safety Commission and extorting members of the public.

“The Director-General requested that members of the public use its hotlines, 07000SAFETY and 08181002233, to immediately report any actions taken by dishonest government employees, consultants, or impersonators.

According to him, the commission is in charge of overseeing risk assessment reports, issuing and revoking certificates of overall safety compliance, conducting investigations into safety-related problems and making recommendations as needed, and coordinating all government activities pertaining to the protection of people and property in the state.
