On Wednesday, the executive council of Kwara State approved the presentation to the state House of Assembly of a revised 2021 budget estimate of N169,167,143,768.
Mrs Bosede Olaitan Braimoh, the State Commissioner for Communications, said in a statement on Wednesday that the revised budget estimate is 23 percent higher than the approved N137,684,915,550 budget for 2021.

Following a detailed presentation of a memo on the budgetary performance by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Mamman Saba Jibril, the executive council approved it.
The revised budget proposes appropriating the N27.260 billion bond that the state recently obtained in order to carry out some strategic social and economic infrastructure projects across the state.
The revised budget will also be presented to the House of Assembly later this week, according to the statement.
