Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, who is known as the Nigerian king of world music, has called on ANTP member performers to continue upholding the legacy and reputation of ANTP founder, Chief Hubert Ogunde.
“Grand Patron of the Association of Nigeria Theatre-arts Practitioners (ANTP),” he said when the Board of Trustees and Central Working Committee of the Association of Nigeria Theatre-arts Practitioners (ANTP) made him an honorary member of the organization during a courtesy visit to him in his home of Ondo.
Prince Adewale Elesho, the ANTP President, praised KSA for his years of unwavering support for ANTP. “He revealed to the major music corporation that ANTP is still around and getting stronger all the time.”
King Sunny Ade, a hugely popular musician in Africa, welcomed the ANTP’s honor and vowed to remain committed to the association.

We commend the seniors of ANTP, especially Chief Lere Paimo, Chief Oyewole Olowomojuore, the President, and Prince Adewale Elesho, for their valuable lifelong contributions to the association. However, we encourage younger members to never neglect their obligation to carry out the noteworthy good deeds of the ANTP founder, Chief Hubert Ogunde.
To help others, he offered to be the first person to put his name in gold, like in the industry. He said it was a great idea to learn from the legends like the late Hubert Ogunde, Moses Olaiya, BOT Chairman Eda Onileola, and a number of achievers who’ve recently passed away.
KSA leader, Eda Onileola, expressed gratitude to ANTP for always being there for him. He pointed to the fact that he had played on stage at his 80th birthday, participated in the brass band, and had the celebration itself be memorable.
