Kidnappers Demand N10m Each for Two Abducted Immigration Officers in Benue

Two Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) employees were abducted in Benue State, and their captors are want N10 million from each of them in exchange for their release.

Officers David Shiaondo Iorwuese and Oliver Orasuur were apprehended a few days ago along the Katsina-Ala–Ukum Road.

The kidnappers had been in touch with the family to demand the ransom money, according to family members.

In response to the incident, the NIS called for immediate action, widespread support, and concerted attempts to guarantee the officers’ safe release, describing the kidnapping as a “critical moment for the Service.”

This most recent kidnapping is reminiscent of one that occurred in May when Simon Agbo, another Immigration official, was kidnapped by gunmen from his residence in Makurdi, the state capital.

According to a family member, the assailants abruptly showed up and shot him multiple times before removing him.
