Mr. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, encouraged the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, to inform President Bola Tinubu about the real situation of Nigerians.

In order to prevent the president from depending on what he hears in the “villa where he’s locked up,” Fayemi suggested that Ganduje provide Tinubu with feedback from the neighbourhoods.

Speaking on Tuesday, the former governor was part of a book presentation titled “APC & Transition Politics,” which was written by APC leader Salihu Lukman.

He blasted the ruling party for failing to implement its platform and for participating in policymaking as “a spectator.”

The former governor bemoaned the fact that praise singers have made it more challenging for people working in the Presidential Villa to understand the genuine emotions of Nigerians.

As said by Fayemi: “I’m glad our chairman is here. This is the group that shouldn’t watch when policies are being made.

It should be this party that projects the party’s manifesto.

“This is the party’s responsibility to inform Mr. President that the opinions expressed here are those of the communities and constituents, not what he is hearing from his locked-up villa.”
