Katsina gov mourns Emir’s son, Saraki’s mother

The Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed sadness over the passing of Prince Abdallah Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, the son of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.

The governor also extended his condolences to the Saraki family on the passing of their matriarch, the late Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, mother of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Senator Gbemisola Rukayat Saraki.

Arewa According reports that Bukola Saraki was a two-term former Governor of Kwara State and the 8th Senate President in the Red Chamber, while his younger sister, Gbemi was an ex-minister of State for Solid Minerals.

A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, a copy of which was made available to Arewa According noted that the passing of Prince Abdallah Abdulmumini Kabir Usman at the tender age of 17 was a tragic loss to the family and the nation.

According to Radda, though his life was a brief one, yet, he noted that the departed blue-blood was a shining example of promise and potential.

Radda stated, “His demise has robbed us of a bright young mind with so much to offer.

“I extend my deepest condolences to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina and the entire Katsina Emirate Council. I pray that the Almighty grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this immense loss.”

The statement also described the late Mrs. Saraki, as a mother to all, saying that while she lived, her life represented strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

“Mrs. Florence’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Katsina State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Saraki family during this difficult time. May the Almighty grant them the courage and solace to navigate this period of grief.

“We pray fervently for the souls of Prince Abdallah Abdulmumini Kabir Usman and the Late Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki to find eternal peace and rest in the bosom of the Almighty. May their good deeds and legacies continue to inspire and guide those they have left behind,” the statement concluded.
