The acting Katsina State Governor, Faruk Jobe, has expressed delight over the recent appointments of three Illustrious sons of the state to key federal positions by President Bola Tinubu.
Punch reports that Aminu Bello Masari, immediate past governor of the state was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Kabir Mashi (Kaigaman Katsina)was named the Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), while Mr. Abdullahi Imam was appointed as the Programme Manager of the National Cash Transfer Office.
In his congratulatory message Wednesday in Katsina and made available to The Punch, Jobe commended President Tinubu for recognising the wealth of experience and leadership acumen that the appointees bring to their respective roles.
“Mallam Masari’s journey from Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport in Katsina State to Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, and his recent tenure as the two-term Governor of Katsina State, speaks volumes about his capacity to lead and innovate. His academic accolades and international recognitions further affirm his status as a leader of global repute,” Jobe said.
Speaking on Ibrahim Mashi’s appointment, Jobe highlighted his previous role as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, said, “Mashi’s experience in revenue mobilisation will be invaluable in his new role at RMAFC”.
While commenting on Imam’s appointment, Jobe said, “Imam’s background in accountancy and his experience as a chief accountant and bank manager equip him well for his new role in the National Cash Transfer Office.
“I am confident that under the leadership of these distinguished gentlemen, their respective offices will reach new heights in their missions.
“Their vast experiences and deep understanding of their sectors will drive positive change and innovation in these critical institutions,” he said.
He further explained that the state government stands ready to support these appointees in their new national assignments.
“We believe these appointments will not only benefit our great nation but will also inspire more sons and daughters of Katsina state to aim for excellence in public service,” he said
