Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, has approved the appointment of AIG Danlami Yar’adua, rtd as Director-General of the newly formed State Safety and Road Traffic Authority.
The governor has also approved the appointment of Sanusi Hayatu Sabuwa as the Secretary of the Authority, according to a press release signed by Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, Director Press to the Secretary of the State Government, and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
Both appointees were chosen in recognition of their outstanding performance in service to the people of the state, according to the statement.
“Governor Aminu Masari congratulated the appointees and wished them Allah’s guidance in carrying out their duties,” the statement reads in part. The appointment, which will take effect on September 29, 2021, is part of the preparations for the new organization’s launch.”

Danlami Yar’adua, an LLB holder, joined the Nigerian Police Force as an Inspector in 1979 and retired from the service as Assistant Inspector General in 2011.
Sanusi Hayatu Sabuwa, an LLB and Master of Law graduate, has worked in government and nonprofit organizations in various capacities.
