After the swearing-in, Yusuf addressed the new hires and said that their appointment was necessary to enlist more creative individuals for the efficient conduct of government operations.
According to him, their selections were made on the basis of merit, commitment, loyalty, and commitment, as well as the expectation that they would actively participate in raising the profile of Kano State.
Asserting that “the present administration is all out to protect the interests of good people of the state and to ensure fulfillment of promises made to the electorates during the campaign period,” the governor stated that they should be diligent in the performance of their tasks.
He informed the special advisers that there are high expectations for them in terms of offering helpful counsel on pertinent topics and coordinating with other officials and civil servants to ensure that government policies and programs are coordinated in a timely manner and in accordance with the set regulations.
He nevertheless challenged the public sector to get moving, stating, “Civil employees ought to be dedicated, committed, and provide selfless service towards growing our dear state, and to serve the people conscientiously. Civil servants are the engine room of actualizing government programs.
We as a government will not tolerate absenteeism, laxity, and such lukewarm attitudes detrimental to the successful delivery of services, even while we are doing our best to pay salaries and other entitlements.
