Suleiman Bichi and Dr. Gwarzo Kabir, respectively, the returning officers for the APC and NNPP in the Kano State local governments of Dambatta and Makoda, rejected the results of the presidential election there.
Despite the fact that his party won the election, Dr. Gwarzo Kabir of the NNPP claimed that BVAS were not used at the local governments. APC member Bichi asserted that the party received more votes than were reported.

Professor Abdulmalik Auwal, the INEC returning officer for Dambatta, claimed that he was pursued by armed thugs.
“I was driven away like a criminal with no protection to keep me safe. I came to INEC by myself and alone, I said.
In another development, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the NNPP defeated the APC in his home town of Dawakin Tofa with 25,072 votes, while the APC received 16,773 votes.
