Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, has started training 7,000 new recruits for the Kaduna Vigilance Service in order to support other security agencies’ efforts to combat kidnapping, armed robbery, and other associated crimes in the state.

The governor continued by saying that the recruits were chosen from the state’s 23 local government areas and were being trained at the Police College in Kaduna, the state capital.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sani said the recruits would support the work of security services and help to clean up the state of crimes following their rigorous and in-depth training.

The governor stated that in the struggle to address security issues across the state, a lack of regular security services made the recruiting necessary.

He declared, “The Kaduna Vigilance Service is an additional security organization. Actionable intelligence will be provided to the security agencies. With its familiarity with the area, bandits won’t have anywhere to hide.

“Starting this training is a crucial step in helping us keep our promise to the wonderful people of Kaduna State. We vowed to improve KADVS’s workforce and “overall operational capacity” in the blueprint for our government. KADVS has been collaborating with security organizations to weaken criminal groups ever since it was founded.

The problem is that we don’t have enough people to fight bandits and other criminal elements effectively. Because of this, our administration made the decision to hire 7,000 people for the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS).

Our local government chairmen, traditional and religious leaders, significant grassroots stakeholders, and security agencies worked together to jointly recruit and screen the trainees.

“The focus of this award is universal human service and the capacity to put one’s knowledge into practice in a way that positively impacts the lives of others.

“What we are currently doing is setting up as agricultural technology that would help us escape food scarcity and insecurity, improve our income, and generally improve the economy.”
