According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), it is working nonstop to guarantee that the refineries in Kaduna and the second one in Port Harcourt satisfy international standards.
Both refineries are presently undergoing a complete makeover to match international standards, according to a statement sent by the firm by Olufemi Soneye, its Chief Corporate Communications Officer.

The 60,000 bpd carried out at the Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries, according to Soneye, is not your average Turnaround Maintenance, or TAM, of the past.
That, he claims, is the whole makeover that has been planned to satisfy top-tier requirements.
Soneye added that comparable work was being done at a second refinery in Port Harcourt and Kaduna, identical to the renovations completed in Port Harcourt and Warri.
