Palm wine tapper charged with raping grandmother to death

The arrest of Sunday Mima, a palm wine tapper, has been confirmed by the Ondo State police command. Mima is suspected of having raped and murdered an elderly grandmother who was 80 years old.

The suspect was taken into custody by a group of young people from the neighborhood, who reportedly discovered the victim’s mobile telephone in the suspect’s possession during the course of the investigation.

It was determined that Mima brought the children to the location where the body of the victim would later be discovered.

Aderibigbe Felicia, the victim, was originally from the town of Ore, which is located within the Odigbo council area of the state. The distressing event took place on her farm in the Costain neighborhood of the town, which caused concern throughout the town and the communities that were nearby.

A local resident who spoke with members of the media stated that the victim had not been seen for several days after she had left for her farm. Her assailants allegedly took her clothes off and then raped and sexually assaulted her. Funmi Odunlami, a spokesperson for the police, has confirmed that the suspect has been apprehended. She also stated that the incident involved a case of rape and murder.

In addition, Odunlami stated that the suspect would soon be paraded by the command after being questioned, and then would be taken to court to face charges.
