Following their release in Ningi Local Government in Bauchi State, the two wives of the Chairman of Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State, who was abducted on Friday night, are now free again.
In a statement on Tuesday evening, the Jigawa State Police Command’s public relations officer, DSP Lawan Adam Shiisu, verified the wives of the chairman who had been kidnapped.
“Their kidnappers have freed the two wives of Kiyawa LG Chairman in Ningi LGA, Bauchi State.

According to DSP Shiitu’s statement, “they had since been reunited with their family members.”
Whether or not a ransom was paid before the two women were freed was not disclosed by the police spokesperson.
The chairman of Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State was ambushed by gunmen on Friday night, and his two wives were taken hostage.
