Hon. Alhassan Ado-Dogwua, Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, stated that he had paid his dues and that it was time to reward his stewardship in his bid to become Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
On Wednesday in Abuja, Doguwa declared his intention to run for Speaker of the Tenth House of Representatives.
“I have paid my dues; it is time to reward my stewardship to both the parliament and the nation,” the lawmaker said. I am the oldest serving member from the Northwest Zone in the House, and with the support of my colleagues, I am the leader of the Northwest and the APC caucus in the House.”
He promised to be the speaker who would see through the implementation of the “Renewed Hope 2023-Action Plan for a Better Nigeria” spearheaded by President-elect Bola Tinubu.

The lawmaker stated that he would go to any length to secure the House’s support for the Tinubu administration’s commendable programs and policies.
Speaking about his mission, he stated that he would strengthen the role of parliaments toward effective representation while also restoring public trust and participation in governance.
This, he claims, is accomplished by facilitating, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating strategies for public participation in governance and government business.
Doguwa stated that he would ensure that the House conducts its business in a transparent and accountable manner, and that every member of the House would be held responsible and accountable by the people he represents.
“If elected speaker, we will ensure cohesion and harmonious working relationships among the three branches of government,” he says.
