It was a fantastic experience at the movie PREMIERE of Elina, a movie produced by a young and sexy Nollywood producer and actress Editha Francis Chiewuzie.
The movie is all about the mistakes and negligence of parents and the cruel society we live in. The movie cast is made up of high-class star actors and actresses in the industry who gave the movie top-notch and interpreted the roll in its original form.
Few among them are Eucharia Anunobi, Kalu Ikeagwu, Felix Omokhodion, Editha Francis, Jibola Dabu, Winner Edwared, Jessica Okwor and other renowned.
African Eye spoke with Actor Kalu Ikegwu who played the role of Cheta in the movie, in his statement he urged the parents to take the message which the movie Elina is passing through very seriously pointing out that what the movie interprets is what is happening in our society currently. In his word, he said “ I am very honoured to be part of this movie which has a strong message to parents out there. The movie is about a young girl of 11 years who was left in the car by her mother and got abducted by a criminal who calls himself “the god”. The trauma she went through for 15 years and emancipated her way through for her freedom. It is a must-watch he added.
Jibola Dabo is a veteran actor who played the role of Barrister Ikemba, he is the father of the lead actor Elina in the movie. He expressed how excited he is to be one of those who can pass this strong message to society. In his interview, he advised parents to take responsibility for their children, never allow them to experience maximum independence at a young age to avoid them being vulnerable. He said that it could be more beneficial if we can go back to the era when society trained and take care of children together. Unlike this time that no one allows others to correct their children. When asked if he will retire soon, he smiled and asked, Do you want to retire me? The renowned actor promised to continue to give his best to society through entertainment.

Editha Francis Chiewuzie played the lead role of Elina and she is also the producer of the movie. She explains how challenging it was for her to be the lead actor and the producer at the same time. “ it was quite challenging to be the producer and still act in the same movie, but by God’s grace I made it through she narrated. She also pointed out that what inspired her to go into the movie industry was the need to make an impact in the Industry and use her acting skill to touch lives. I have always dreamed of being an actress and when I got into the industry, I found out that there are a lot of things to do in order to excel in the industry and one of them is producing the movie. I want to make a difference in the movie industry and I feel that the best way I can put in my best is by going into movie production. One of the challenges I had as a producer was sponsorship. You may have a wonderful script to shoot but if you don’t have the fund, how can you get it done? But with the help of my Executive Producer Austin Ogbonna, I was able to pull through.
Actor Felix Omekhodion is one of the main characters in the movie, he played the role of Etoho “the god”. His role was challenging in the sense that he had to play the bad boy and kidnapper in the movie. He explained how difficult it was for him to play the role since it was quite the opposite of who he really is, but I have to interpret the role the way it should be because it is my job.

On the same page, Jessica Francis who played the role of flame narrated how hard it was for her to play the role of being the heartless person in the movie while she is actually the opposite. She said she overwhelmed to be fortunate enough to play alongside Stars like Eucharia Aninobi, Jibola Dabo, Kalu Ikegwu, Felix Omekhodion, Editha Francis and others. She looks forward to being successful in an industry like them.
The youngest actress among them Winner Edward who played the role of Elina told African Eye that she enjoyed being in the movie and by the grace of God, she will make it big in the industry
Richard Chiewuzie, one of the characters and the soundtrack manager in the movie, said that the movie has thought him a good lesson. He commended the producer for a job well done and urged the general public to endeavour to watch it.
African Eye also had a word with some of the dignitaries present at the premier. Hon. Remi Ozuba the CEO of REMSON INVESTMENTS NIG LTD who was present expressed his satisfaction with the movie and commended the young producer Editha Francis. He said that the movie is a great lesson and a wake-up call to all parents. He urges the general public to watch and also learn from the movie.
Chioma Juliet Okoli the CEO of Style with Julie, one of the guests and the producer’s fashion designer expressed how happy she is to be the one that designed her cloth and the clothes worn by some of the guests.
