Buba Galadima, a leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has charged that the government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) is worried about attempting to dismantle opposition political groups.
According to reports, Galadima stated that the government is unconcerned about Nigeria’s growing insecurity during an interview on Arise Television’s “Prime Time” program on Monday.
The NNPP Board of Trustees member claims that the APC government is too busy accepting defectors to address the problems caused by insecurity.
Galadima emphasized that officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government must take action to safeguard people’s lives and property since governance is a serious business.
“The Federal Government has dedicated 99% of its time to politicking,” he declared.
“Government is a serious business, particularly in a nation like Nigeria. How much sacrifice the leaders would make on behalf of the people is more important than how to gain money.
“You shouldn’t have more than six hours for leisure if you are a Nigerian president, governor, or even head of a local government; the rest of the time must be spent working. that we are unable to see.
Receiving defectors and attempting to dismantle opposing political groups are the sole concerns of this government. And I want the world to know that eliminating opposition is not in their best interests because democracy cannot exist without disagreement.
Additionally, the absence of democracy indicates that fascism and dictatorship are on the horizon. To save lives and property, they must put on their thinking caps and take the appropriate action.
