Three people have been kidnapped in Ondo State by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.

The kidnapped victims, who are butchers, were abducted in the state’s Akure North Local Government Area.

One of the butchers was injured during the attack while on their way to buy cows.

The incident occurred in Akure North Local Government’s Ajadusi Community, which is located after Ala town.

According to sources, one of the suspected kidnappers called the four butchers and asked them to come and buy cows.

On getting to the community, the abductors were said to have besieged them, shot sporadically before kidnapping the three of them.

The only butcher who escaped and now receiving treatment at a popular hospital in Akure said the kidnappers macheted him in the head.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Funmi Odunlami, said she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
