Kano State police have apprehended 59 suspected criminals and recovered weapons and illegal drugs from them.

This was despite the fact that the state’s Commissioner of Police, Sumaila Shuaibu Dikko, stated that the fight against drug dealers and thugs (yan daba) would be maintained with vigour.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command’s spokesman, revealed this on Thursday in a statement, noting that the suspects arrested between “19/10/2021 and 27/10/2021” included those suspected of robbery, theft, and drug dealing.

He stated that all of the suspects from various addresses in Kano were apprehended with weapons and stolen property.
