On Thursday evening, bandits attacked a village in Kaduna State’s Giwa Local Government Area, abducting 24 people.
The hoodlums were said to be moving from house to house, terrorizing the residents.
According to a source, the bandits abducted 14 people and an unspecified number of cattle.
“During Isha prayers, they stormed a local mosque in the area and abducted 14 worshippers,” the source said.
The bandits reportedly moved to a residence where they kidnapped ten women.
Musa Ibrahim, a local, said in an interview on Friday that four of the abductees had been released.
The police had yet to issue an official statement on the incident at the time of filing the report.
