Senator Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, said the election on February 25 is a liberation election that should result in a Yoruba man becoming president.

With the hoarding of the new naira notes and the nationwide fuel shortage, he added, he was ahead of those attempting to scuttle the election.

At an APC presidential campaign rally on Friday in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, Tinubu claimed that unnamed figures in the corridor of power were preparing to sow unrest, delay the election, and impose an interim national government.

“This election is yours,” he said, restating his earlier assertion that it is the Yoruba people’s turn to produce the nation’s leader. You will use this election to set yourselves free.

“Eyin omo Yoruba!” he yelled. Yoruba: Eyin omo! Yoruba: Eyin omo! Young people of Yoruba. It’s whose turn now. Relax. If you hear rumblings, something is likely pursuing someone if someone is not being pursued by something else. You get to vote in the upcoming election. Is that accurate? You will use this election to set yourselves free. They want to use us as their slaves. They tell lies. We are not a slave race.
The APC standard-bearer warned suffering Nigerians not to fall for the trick to incite them to violence and anarchy over the scarcity of the newly designed currencies, saying that “those who kept the new currencies in their vaults would eventually release them” while speaking in Yoruba at the rally.

Additionally, Tinubu criticized alleged saboteurs who are holding onto Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and obstructing eligible voters from obtaining them.
“Continue to be on the neck of those holding on to your cards until they release them to you,” he advised those who had not yet collected their cards.
In the February 25 National Assembly elections and the March 11 governorship and House of Assembly elections, the former governor of Lagos State urged voters to support all APC candidates because the party “offers a platform for good governance and responsible leadership.”

They secured money, he said. Trek to your polling places, cast your ballot, and stick with it.

“I’m using God to beg you not to fight them; this is not a fight. Your money will eventually be unlocked by those who locked it up. They’re doing it to enrage you so you’ll act violently and they can put off the election to appoint a transitional administration.

We are equally ahead of them and wiser than they are. When given poison, rats will commit suicide. Earlier, Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, urged residents to cast large numbers of APC and Tinubu votes to show their appreciation for his kindness and love for Ekiti over the years.

There is no need for concern because we have all decided to support Asiwaju, according to Oyebanji. Asiwaiu has always stood by us, and the Ekiti people have all decided to show their appreciation for him on February 25 by casting their votes for him, filling the ballot boxes to the brim.

“Let us return to our wards, homes, churches, mosques, markets, and other locations to evangelize the electorate about Asiwaju. Requesting that your people gather their PVCs People who still lack PVCs do not adore Asiwaju.

“We must all work together to ensure Asiwaiu’s victory because his votes are our votes as well.

Let’s use our votes to elect every APC candidate for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly. Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the state’s immediate past governor, claimed that Tinubu supported Ekiti when the progressives were fighting for their cause and urged the state’s citizens to repay the good deeds of the APC presidential candidate at the polls.
Additionally, Opeyemi Bamidele, the senator for Ekiti Central, expressed confidence that Tinubu would receive a resounding victory from the Ekiti electorate given his record of effective leadership.

Bamidele, who is running for re-election on the APC platform, praised Tinubu as a thinker with great intelligence and an unwavering commitment to good governance who should succeed President Muhammadu Buhari when his term ends in May.

Tinubu had created a plan to rewrite Nigeria’s history and introduce good governance into the body polity, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters added.

He assured them that Tinubu was not vying for power to jeopardize the future of the nation.
