Tunmise Abraham was sentenced to death by hanging by an Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, for raping and killing his landlady, Mrs Bukola Olanrewaju, a mother of three.
In 2019, a court found Abraham guilty of raping and killing his landlady in Ado-Olorunda Ekiti’s Zone 7 area.
Before carrying out the act, the defendant was accused of breaking into the landlady’s room, threatening her with a cutlass, and tying her up.
When the incident occurred, the landlady was alone at home after her husband had gone to work and her children had gone to holiday coaching, according to a witness.
