Illegal Gold Mining in Your Territory – Isibor Challenges Oshiomhole’s Awareness

Adams Oshiomhole has come under fire from Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, a former Edo State Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science, and Technology, for failing to stop illicit mining operations in his area.
According to reports, the previous governor of Edo claimed that retired generals were responsible for the illegal mining operations that were harming the environment and depleting the country’s economy.
Even though Oshiomhole is currently a senator and a former governor, Isibor accused him of ignoring the illicit gold mining operations “in his backyard.”

The former governor Godwin Obaseki’s commissioner suggested that the Senate Committee on Interior’s chairman take action against illicit gold mining in his residence.

Ifaluyi-Isibor posted on his X handle on Wednesday, saying: “I find it hard to listen to him objectively. There is always a twist, even when he seems to be speaking honestly. Over the years, he has shown himself to be unstable, perverted, and deceitful.

He is very eloquent in his speech (and I give him credit for that), but he forgets things easily, including the standards he set yesterday. He also has a tendency to mumble and juggle words loudly in an attempt to fascinate and mesmerize others, but his main goal is usually dishonesty.

Without a doubt, he speaks persuasively, yet we can see through the pretense and opulence.

Please let Sen. Adams Oshiomole know that illegal gold and other resource mining is occurring in his own “backyard,” even if I share some of his worries.

Are people not earning billions from it as well, or is he unable to inform the public that he is unaware?

Who directly benefits from today’s illicit gold mining in Edo North?
