Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of suspended Rivers State, has cautioned his followers to exercise caution when acting or speaking on his behalf.
The governor advised his followers not to carry out any unapproved acts on his behalf because doing so could put him in further trouble.
Governor Fubara claims to be the one who wears the shoes and is therefore aware of their pinching points.

He reportedly made the proposal on Sunday while addressing at the Rivers Elders and Leaders Forum’s Night of Tributes, which was held in memory of the late elder leader Chief Edwin Clark.
“Do what I want, not what you want to do,” he urged. Since I am the one wearing the shoes, I am aware of the answer to my issue. I know how to solve my issue. There are some things you do that ruin my peace process instead of bringing me peace. It causes me issues. I’m warning everyone here. In order to avoid giving the impression that I’m sending a private message to anyone, I’m being serious and saying it in church.
