The House of Reps has announced that its plenary, which was scheduled to start today, May 9, 2023, has been postponed.
The House meeting has been rescheduled for May 16th.
This information was made public in a statement made on Monday night and shared on the House’s official Twitter account (@HouseNGR). The statement was signed by Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, the clerk of the House.
The delay is necessary to give House members a chance to take part in the 10th National Assembly’s ongoing induction program.
“This is to inform all Hon. Members and the general public that the House of Representatives will not resume plenary on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, as previously adjourned. The following postponed date is Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
“This change is meant to make it possible for Members to actively participate in the 10th National Assembly’s ongoing induction program. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences, the statement said.
