The herders reportedly mobilized and set fire to the village and farms, forcing villagers to flee their homes and flee for their lives.
Commander Amotekun, Chief Adeleye Adetunji, responded to the incident by saying that normalcy has been restored to the community.
The attackers opened fire on the Amotekun operatives while Adetunji’s men were on their way to the village, he added.
“We’re trying to figure out who they are while conducting a thorough investigation.” We encourage the community’s residents to return to their homes now that peace has returned to the village.
