Three officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) have been kidnapped in Lokoja, Kogi State, while the policeman driving them from Lagos was shot dead.
The kidnapped officers are two Deputy Superintendents and one Chief Superintendent of Immigration.
They were said to have been summoned to Abuja on Monday by the Comptroller General of the NIS, Mohammed Babandede, in respect of the leaked COVID-19 palliative accounts documents published by Sunday Independent newspaper on May 17, 2020.
