As part of activities to commemorate Armed Forces Remembrance Day on January 15, the Federal Government held an interdenominational church service in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

It was held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, and it was attended by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; and other service chiefs.

Special envoys, including representatives of foreign military organisations and families of the nation’s fallen heroes, were also present.

The annual commemoration honours fallen heroes who gave their lives in the service of humanity during the First and Second World Wars, the Nigerian Civil War, peacekeeping missions, and various internal security operations.
