The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike is to be punished, according to an accusation made by PDP chieftain Dele Momodu against the party’s leadership.

When Wike started working against the party, Momodu claimed he would have punished him long ago if he had his way.

This comes following Umar Damagum, the PDP’s acting national chairman, pledging to punish Wike for working against the party at the appropriate moment.

Note that on February 25, Wike backed All Progressives Congress (APC) President Bola Tinubu over PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Concerning management of state resources, the minister and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara have been at odds recently.

His disagreement with Fubara caused 25 of his supporters in the state House of Assembly to defect from the PDP and join the APC, and other commissioners in the state executive council also quit.

But Momodu asserted that Wike’s shenanigans must end and that the PDP leadership cannot stand by while he acts out.

In an appearance on Arise Television, Momodu declared that he would have approved Wike long ago if he had the authority to lead the party.

“Wike deserves to be punished long ago,” he declared, if he had the ability. His continued misbehaviour against the party must have the PDP leadership justifying his retention.

He expresses a desire to consume his cake.
