Former All Progressives Congress (APC) Acting National Secretary Waziri Bulama has maintained that the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) is no longer in existence and that all efforts should be directed toward fortifying the APC.
In response to inquiries during an interview on Arise Television’s “Prime Time” program on Wednesday, Bulama made this statement.
“There is no longer a CPC as a party,” he declared. History is CPC. What we now have is the APC, which has incorporated all of the principles, goals, pledges, and projects of the now-defunct CPC.
The chief spokesperson for the delegation that met with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was the chairman of Adamawa State’s now-defunct CPC.
A few party leaders who had joined him prior to the CPC’s collapse in 2013 went to see Atiku after he rallied them.
“We came together under Senator Tanko Al-Makura in response to the nefarious and deceptive attempt by some of our former colleagues to split and disturb the APC by using the name CPC.
However, CPC has ceased to exist. APC is currently in place, and we have moved on.
