Michael O. Chinda, an Ikwere man, has been nominated by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike as the Senior Special Assistant on Land, Urban, and Regional Planning.
Prior to obtaining his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Port Harcourt, Chinda completed his undergraduate studies in 1987 at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
Chinda worked as a Senior Lands Officer in the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing from 1989 to 2004. He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
Additionally, from 2008 to 2010, he served as the Secretary of the Obio Akpor Local Government Council. From 2011 to 2023, he was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Chinda is qualified to handle the complexity and difficulties related to these fields because of his broad expertise and academic training.
