EPL: You can’t be Man United manager if you’re gasping at PSG – Nasri to Pochettino

Samir Nasri, a former Arsenal player, has cast doubt on Mauricio Pochettino’s ability to lead Manchester United.

As he tries to get the best of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, Nasri expressed doubts about the Argentine’s motivations.

“At the moment, I don’t see a Pochettino style in Paris,” he told Sport Witness, “as there might have been in Tottenham or even Southampton, teams that he was able to make play in a beautiful way.”

“With PSG, he’s still grasping, he hasn’t found the right formula, he hasn’t decided which system to play in… I’m not sure why he hasn’t started using a three-man defense, for instance.

“I see a lot of things that are a little bit inconsistent,” she says. And it’s a little too easy to claim that it’s not his project in order to absolve oneself of responsibility in the event of failure.”

Pochettino is said to be interested in taking over at Manchester United from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but only time will tell if the Argentine is given the job.

However, PSG’s lackluster performance in the Champions League against Manchester City on Wednesday may have raised more questions than answers for the Red Devils as they seek to appoint the Argentine as their permanent manager.
