The Ekiti government has postponed the examination for thousands of job seekers scheduled for Wednesday.
The government announced, “This is to inform the general public, particularly candidates, who obtained employment forms at the Ekiti Local Government Service Commission that the examination previously scheduled to begin on Wednesday will no longer take place as scheduled.”

This was revealed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti by Adewumi Fawekun, the director of Appointment and Posting, who signed for the permanent secretary of the Ekiti Local Government Service Commission.
Governor Kayode Fayemi had also ordered that the application form fees be refunded to the applicants, she explained.
Ms Fawekun also stated that the three-day exam scheduled to begin on Wednesday would be canceled.
“In due course, candidates will receive additional information. Meanwhile, Governor Kayode Fayemi has directed that all candidates receive free employment forms,” according to a government official.

She stated that the affected candidates would be notified as soon as the application fees would be refunded.
The Ekiti government invited interested candidates to apply for positions in both the junior and senior categories of the workforce two months ago.
