On Thursday, the Ekiti State House of Assembly approved the 21 individuals Governor Biodun Oyebanji had proposed for the position of commissioners.
The governor asked the Assembly to authorise an additional 10 Special Advisers to help with governance and the effective provision of services.
“With the confirmation of their nomination, the executive branch of government led by the governor can now proceed to swear them into office and hand them portfolios,” the Speaker, Adeoye Aribasoye, stated.
The designated commissioners are Chief Folorunso Olabode, Mr. Seun Fakuade, Mr. Gold Adesola, Dr. Kofoworola Aderiye, Prof. Patrick Tedela, Prof. Ojo Bakare, and Mr. Kolawole Ajobiewe.

The Speaker stated that the Assembly would always expect the Special Advisers to appear before the lawmakers to provide an account of the actions of their Ministries, Departments, and Agencies and what they had done with funds appropriated for them.
He commended the nominees and asked them to make every effort to advance Ekiti.
