Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that he is a proud member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and that he has no regrets about his decision.
Fani-Kayode had abandoned the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party a few months ago and switched to the APC, a party he had criticized throughout its existence.
Fani-Kayode was one of the public people who took it upon themselves to criticize President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at every turn.
Following his defection to the ruling party, the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, purportedly arrested him, prompting widespread mockery from Nigerians, with some labeling him a traitor.

Many Nigerians blasted the former minister, saying that he would come to regret ever joining the APC, but Fani-Kayode maintained that his decision was decreed by God in a tweet on Saturday night.
“I am honored to be a part of the APC.” I don’t have any regrets. He wrote, “I NEVER suggested APC had deceived me.”
“I am honored and proud to be a part of the celebration. What God has decreed is unstoppable. I’ll be the person God intends for me to be.
