EFCC detained a leader of a syndicate selling and purchasing human organs

Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have detained a leader of a syndicate selling and purchasing human organs such as trafficking to overseas nations. The syndicate leader, Ukaeje John Emeka, also referred to as Dr Phil Mark, Dr Donald Phillip and Dr Wesley David, has been detained on April 16, 2021 in Rumukparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, according to based intellect on his suspicious deceitful internet dealings. Preliminary investigations by the EFCC revealed that the defendant has been leading a syndicate of fraudsters falsely presenting themselves as medical physicians, using an individual organ bank, especially kidneys for purchase and sale. Supporters of the syndicate include individuals with renal diseases and wholesome people desirous of promoting their own organs in Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. Things recovered from the defendant comprise one passport, 1 Republic of Cote D’ivoire passport, nine ATM cards; a black-coloured HP notebook; just one gold-coloured Tecno L9 and telephone; one-gold coloured Samsung Galaxy J8 plus one ash- coloured Lexus ES 330 salon auto. The commission is on the path of other members of this syndicate inside and outside Nigeria.
