Don’t Yield to Pressure – Senator Dickson Advises PDP Chieftains

Seriake Dickson, the former governor of Bayelsa State, has cautioned PDP leaders not to let the pressures and defections on the party scare them.
Dickson reportedly stated that the party needs to restructure and resolve its internal issues and problems.
Following his participation in the party’s consultative meeting on Sunday, which was called by the PDP Governors Forum and included governors, previous governors, and members of the party’s National Working Committee, he made this statement on his Facebook page on Monday.

“As a former Governor, former Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, and former Chairman of the PDP National Reconciliatory Committee, appointed by five Chairmen, I had the opportunity to interact, share ideas, and give my views; therefore, there is no party member in the nation that I have not interacted with,” he stated.
The senator from Bayelsa West expressed faith that the governors and party leadership will carry out the decisions made during the meeting.

He underlined how important it is for the governors to cooperate in order to overcome the party’s obstacles.

“I hope the resolutions are implemented by the governors, who are the party’s operational leaders. “They must collaborate closely, demonstrate a stronger dedication to the party, and inspire and motivate both party members and Nigerians in general,” he said.

Senator Dickson informed the governors that the nation’s political events do not have to scare them.

Despite all of the threats and harassments, we managed to keep the party afloat, win elections, and turn it over to them under President Buhari.

I told them that we were behind them and that everyone needed to pitch in to help reconstruct and restructure the celebration.

on light of this, a committee was established, and he said, “It will be a pleasure to work with others in the committee to see how we can advise on ways of resolving all the issues and support the governors and other leaders and save the party from imminent collapse.”
