A powerful delegation led by National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, met Senator Danjuma Goje at his Asokoro residence in Abuja just a day after the immediate past governor of Gombe state, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, and other PDP chieftains paid a visit to him.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Ayodele Fayose, former Governor of Ekiti state, Senator Philip Aduda, Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda, and former member of the House of Representatives (Billiri and Balanga, Gombe state), Hon. Ali Isa JC Tinubu’s team included Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state and former Governor Kashim Shettim
The APC officials’ visit might be linked to the PDP leaders’ visit to Goje’s house, which was reportedly to lure him back to their party, which he had deserted since 2014.
Goje, a former minister, two-term governor of Gombe state, and current senator representing Gombe Central, is a phenomenonal political leader that no political party can afford to lose, not just in Gombe state but across the country.
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state and former Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state made up Tinubu’s squad.
The APC officials’ visit might be linked to the PDP leaders’ visit to Goje’s house, which was reportedly to lure him back to their party, which he had deserted since 2014.

Though there has been no official comment on Goje’s future political move, political watchers believe he would return to the PDP due to the APC’s persistent problem and his enmity with Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
