Sunday Joshua, also known as De General, a Nigerian comedian, has admitted to owning tramadol and cannabis drug exhibits discovered in his home, according to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

This was stated in a statement signed by the NDLEA Spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Wednesday, titled “Skit maker, De General, and three others arrested in NDLEAs Lagos raids.”

NDLEA operatives visited the skit maker’s home in the early hours of Wednesday, according to a live video from the skit maker’s page. A scuffle at the residence, however, caused the video to be disrupted.

“Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrested a skit maker, Sunday Joshua, popularly known on social media as De-General, in the early hours of today, Wednesday 12th January, following the raid of a notorious drug joint at Orchid Estate, Lekki area of Lagos state,” the statement said.

“Narcotic officers stormed the drug joint in the estate, where three suspects were arrested with illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5 kilograms of cannabis sativa, acting on credible intelligence.”

“During the operation, some individuals, including the suspected dealer, fled with bags containing exhibits.”

“They ran into a house located at 2B Saula Akinlolu way, Orchid estate, which is the home of 22-year-old Sunday Joshua, according to a trail” (aka De General). To avoid a search, the young men began to make noise.

“Before entering, the operatives introduced themselves as NDLEA officers and consented to be searched. This was completed, and a search was carried out.

“During the search, drug exhibits were discovered, including cannabis sativa, Tramadol 225mg, and drug paraphernalia.” This came after the suspect requested that the search be recorded on video, which the officers granted out of courtesy.”

The skit creator also admitted to owning the drugs, according to the statement.

“The suspect admitted ownership of the drugs recovered from his house in his confessional statement in custody,” the statement read.

“The video trending on social media was the moment the suspect and his friends decided to disrupt the bid to conduct a search of the house,” the statement said, referring to the disrupted viral video.
