COVID-19 vaccine: Kaduna Speaker applauds Gov El- Rufai’s directives

Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has stated that Governor Nasir El-recent Rufai’s directives to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state are in the best interests of the public.

The Speaker, in a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Health, SDGs, and NGOs, Dr. Halimah Nuhu, stated that the measures would not only save lives but would also protect the state’s economy.

“The directive that only those with proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be allowed access to government offices beginning November 1 is a welcome development.”

The statement went on to say that it would further protect the populace from the dangers of COVID-19, as well as the financial drain on the state’s resources that goes to treating infected patients.

As a result, the Speaker urged all residents of the state to get vaccinated in order to protect themselves and others from infection with the deadly virus.

The statement praised Governor El-Rufai for being proactive in protecting the lives of the state’s citizens and urged that the COVID-19 vaccine be made available in all parts of the state so that people could be vaccinated.
